Capt. Bryan Reeves

Fishing Reports
Captain Bryan is the owner and operator of Wild Orange Charter and has over 26 years experience in the business. He is 46 years old, married to Candie Reeves, has two daughters of his own Raegan and Rivers (ages 17&16). As well as two step sons Jr. And RJ (ages 19&17). January 2016 Capt. Bryan and wife Candie welcomed their biggest catch to date. Miss Riley Reeves.
Bryan was born and raised in Lawrence County Alabama, and used to semi professionally bass fish and was a smallmouth guide on the Tennessee river chain. In 1995, when his mother & stepfather moved to Gulf Shores, Al and bought a charter boat and Bryan took a summer time job as the deckhand on the boat. He continued to deckhand in the summers throughout High school and College. After College Bryan decided to pursue his passion for fishing as a career. He obtained his captain license in 2007.... His specialties are Grouper fishing, light tackle fishing for multiple salt water species, Red snapper and amberjack.
Bryan devotes his spare time to introducing his 5 children to the outdoors, taking them on family fishing and hunting adventures. He is constantly teaching them new ways to enjoy what Mother Nature has provided for us all! Bryan's youngest step son, 17 year old Rj, loves fishing and has been training to become a first mate since the age of 5. He aspired to be a deckhand one day and now that dream has finally came true, RJ can now officially call himself a certified deckhand and comes along on every trip that he can when he's not in school. This summer he will working fulltime on one of the other Charter Boats located at Zeke's Landing. Riley Reeves is Captain Bryans youngest daughter, she turned 9 in January, loves fishing also and rides along any chance she gets. She too aspires to eventually become a deckhand, just like her brother!
As you can see capt. Bryan loves working with children and welcomes customers with children of all ages aboard the Wild Orange!

1st Mate/Deckhand
Joe Stelly

When you step aboard the Wild Orange, you can expect to receive first class service from a first class captain and crew. Joe Stelly is the 1st Mate/Deckhand aboard the Wild Orange. Joe is a 30 year old Arkansas native. he and his family have been fishing with Wild Orange Charters for over 10 years. Yes he was a customer aboard the Wild Orange up until June of 2024! Joe has always had a passion for fishing and fell in love with deep sea fishing at a very young age. Joe has always been one of the best anglers that has stepped foot aboard the Wild Orange, but not only was he a good fisherman, he was a quick learner and was always able to adapt to the different techniques we threw at him. Him and his family would fish multiple trips a year with us and no two trips were ever the same, due to changing conditions and fishing pressure.  A few years back Joe reached out to Captain Bryan with intrest in becoming a deckhand, but with his lack of experience of actually working on a charter boat made that dream seem to be a pretty tall task to accomplish. In 2024 he finally got that chance when he hired on with Wild Orange Charters and has never looked back! Joe stepped on mid snapper season and never missed a beat! He has proved that he can endure the super long hours that we work (two trips a day, 7 days a week for three months straight) and still show up everyday with a smile on his face, like it was it was still his first day on the job. Joe has excellent people skills and really excels when it comes to families and children of all ages... Not only does he know how to fish, he is an excellent teacher and can take the most inexperienced of anglers and have them out fishing anglers that have been doing it for years by the end of the trip!  Joe understands that the absolute most important part about being a good deckhand is customer service, he understands that showing the customers a great time out weighs how well he can fish. Fortunately for Joe he is great at Both!
