Captain Bryan is the owner and operator of Wild Orange Charter and has over 26 years experience in the business. He is 42 years old, married to Candie Reeves, has two daughters of his own Raegan and Rivers (ages 13&12). As well as two step sons Jr. And RJ (ages 15&13). January 2016 Capt. Bryan and wife Candie welcomed their biggest catch to date. Miss Riley Reeves.
Bryan was born and raised in Lawrence County Alabama, and used to semi professionally bass fish and was a smallmouth guide on the Tennessee river chain. In 1995, when his mother & stepfather moved to Gulf Shores, Al and bought a charter boat and Bryan took a summer time job as the deckhand on the boat. He continued to deckhand in the summers throughout High school and College. After College Bryan decided to pursue his passion for fishing as a career. He obtained his captain license in 2007.... His specialties are Grouper fishing, light tackle fishing for multiple salt water species, Red snapper and amberjack.
Bryan devotes his spare time to introducing his 5 children to the outdoors, taking them on family fishing and hunting adventures. He is constantly teaching them new ways to enjoy what Mother Nature has provided for us all! Bryan's youngest step son, ten year old Rj, loves fishing and aspires to one day become the 1st mate aboard the Wild Orange. This past spring RJ saved his money from the tips that he received here and there from customers and used it to purchase his drug card and officially became the second mate on his dads boat (You have to be in a random drug testing program in order to legally work as a deckhand or captain)! RJ can now officially call himself a certified deckhand and comes along on every trip that he can when he's not in school. He does not work for tips yet and is merely there to learn.
As you can see capt. Bryan loves working with children and welcomes customers with children of all ages aboard the Wild Orange!

1st Mate/Deckhand
|
When you step aboard the Wild Orange, you can expect to receive first class service from a first class captain and crew. Captain Mandy Prell is the 1st Mate/Deckhand aboard the Wild Orange. Don't let her looks fool you, she is the best deckhand that I have had the pleasure of working with to date! Mandy is a 27 year old Pensacola Florida native, who was raised on the water. Mandy's father introduced her to fishing for the first time when she was a toddler and she's been hooked ever since! Mandy's love and passion for fishing finally landed her a job on the Zekes Lady in 2007. The Zekes Lady is a party boat/head boat that carries 20-50 passengers out on 6 and 4hr shared expense trips each day and on most days two trips a day. Mandy worked on this boat from 2007-2012. She started out as a bait girl the first year and quickly worked her way up to one of the lead deckhands in only one season. After the 2011 fishing season Mandy decided it was time for a change. She had accomplished all the she could the Zekes Lady and wanted to broaden her fishing skills, so she started looking for a job on a private charter boat. Finding a job like this isn't as easy as it sounds and they are hard to find. Mandy knew this and she also knew that it would be even harder for her being one of the only female deckhands around. She found that no one would give her a chance to prove herself, simply because she was a female. In 2013 she finally got that chance when she hired on with Wild Orange Charters and prove herself she did! She has proved that she can endure the super long hours that we work (two trips a day, 7 days a week for three months straight) and still show up everyday with a smile on her face like it was it was still her first day on the job. Mandy has excellent people skills, and really excels when it comes to women and children of all ages... Not only does she know how to fish, she is an excellent teacher and can take the most inexperienced of anglers and have them out fishing anglers that have been fishing for years by the end of the trip!
